Nicole Telkes has been in practice since 2001 as a Herbalist and since 2002 as a Bodyworker. Nicole is one of the few Registered Herbalists in Texas holding professional status with the American Herbalists Guild. Philosophically, she is a vitalist, using techniques and concepts from both Western and Eastern Holistic Medical Models including Greek Medicine, Eclecticism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, North American Tribal Medicine, and Ayurveda. Her training includes a BA in Environmental Studies and programs at the Southwest School for Botanical Medicine in Arizona, The Star Institute in Austin, and The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico. As a bodyworker she has training in zen shiatsu, myofascial release, therapeutic body treatments(scrubs, oil pours, etc), marma chikitsa, reflexology, deep tissue massage, hot stone therapy and gemstone therapy. She also incorporates body reading skills where she uses the face, tongue and pulse to guide her towards a customized treatment strategy. Nicole founded the Wildflower School for Botanical Medicine in 2005 and is the lead instructor for a 300+hr herbal training program.
